Beyoncè drops 'Black Parade', Shares Black Owned-Business Directory in Honor of Juneteenth

By: Executive Tea Staff

Beyhive, check in! Beyoncé dropped a surprise song Friday night called “Black Parade”, which showcases her Blackness and Southern pride. “Black Parade” starts with a homage to the singer’s southern, Texas roots.

I’m goin’ back to the South
I’m goin’ back, back, back, back
Where my roots ain’t watered down

— Beyoncé

The song was dropped in conjunction with a new initiative Bey has to support Black-owned businesses. All benefits from the song will go to BeyGood’s Black Business Impact Fund.

“Happy Juneteenth Weekend! I hope we continue to share joy and celebrate each other, even in the midst of struggle. Please continue to remember our beauty, strength and power,” Beyoncé wrote on Instagram.

“Being Black is your activism. Black excellence is a form of protest. Black joy is your right.”

In a Black-owned business directory published to Beyoncé’s website, viewers can sort various Black businesses by Arts and Design, Beauty, Fashion, Home living, Lifestyle, Restaurants and Bars, Services, and Wellness and health. We are all the way here for this directory as a one-stop shop for finding a Black business to support.

And you already know Twitter was super amped to get a surprise new Bey song.

And according to the streets, we might even be getting a video for Black Parade so stay tuned!
