Six campaign staffers working for Trump’s rally in Tulsa have now tested positive for coronavirus just hours before the rally, CNN reports.

A statement campaign says, “Per safety protocols, campaign staff are tested for COVID-19 before events. Six members of the advance team tested positive out of hundreds of tests performed, and quarantine procedures were immediately implemented. No COVID-positive staffers or anyone in immediate contact will be at today's rally or near attendees and elected officials. As previously announced, all rally attendees are given temperature checks before going through security, at which point they are given wristbands, facemasks and hand sanitizer," Tim Murtaugh, the campaign’s communications director, stated.

Trump’s rally today in Tulsa already has all of the makings to be a disaster. Just today, it was reported that in Tulsa there has been a 100 percent spike in Tulsa County just this week, the highest in the state, and health officials announced Saturday that it had 136 new coronavirus cases, according to NBC News. Today’s rally will pack in 19,000 people. All attendees had to sign a waiver agreeing they will not sue if they contract coronavirus at the rally.

The rally, which was originally slated to happen on Juneteenth, is taking place in a city that was the site of the Black Wall Street Massacre. Counter-protestors have plans to join the rally, and Trump already put out a dark warning that this was “going to be a much different scene” for protestors.

Rallygoers have expressed pride about their decision to not wear masks in the 20,000+ rally venue.

We’ll keep you posted on how the rally goes, chile.
