Trump's response to the crisis in Puerto Rico has already been underwhelming to say the least. However, in his series of morning tweets. San Juan Mayor, Carmen Yulin Cruz, has been critical of the United States' response to giving aid in Puerto Rico. She's publicly pleaded for public aid, and even went on Anderson Cooper yesterday in a shirt that read 'Help Us, We Are Dying'. She has been incredibly vocal about the island's need for aid,

“I am begging, begging anyone that can hear us, to save us from dying. If anybody out there is listening to us, we are dying and you are killing us with the inefficiency and the bureaucracy.”

This morning, she tweeted that this is the time for people to show their true colors.

So, naturally, Donald Trump took to Twitter to hurl insults at the San Juan Mayor. He went as far as implying people in Puerto Rico are lazy because they "want everyone to help them".

Though Trump's un-presidential rants are nothing short of surprising, throwing Twitter blows at a Mayor trying to secure relief for a needy country is a new low. Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory - but Donald Trump doesn't seem too concerned with treating them like U.S. citizens.
